This study evaluates and analyzes the performance of image steganography techniques, particularly LSB-based methods, across various image formats.
The problem is to establish a systematic framework and methodology for comparing and evaluating the performance of LSB-based steganography techniques across diverse image formats.
The approach defines three main parameters for evaluating steganographic effectiveness: payload capacity, image quality measure, and security measure. These metrics are applied to and analyzed across different image formats, with their mathematical equations illustrated.
The research provides a systematic framework for evaluating LSB-based steganography performance across image formats and analyzes the characteristics and performance trends of each format, laying the groundwork for comparative studies.
